Planning the perfect dance floor is simpler than you think. The key is finding that sweet spot where your guests can move freely without the floor looking empty or overcrowded.
How Many People Will Dance?
Here's the thing: at peak moments, roughly half to two-thirds of your guests will hit the dance floor. Throughout the night, this ebbs and flows as people enjoy dinner, catch up with friends, and take breathers between songs.
Our Dance Floor Options
We use premium 3x3 foot interlocking tiles that create a seamless, smooth surface perfect for dancing. Here's what we recommend:
Up to 50 guests: 12' x 15' floor (20 tiles)
Up to 75 guests: 15' x 18' floor (30 tiles)
Up to 120 guests: 18' x 18' floor (36 tiles)
Our maximum size is 18' x 18', which comfortably handles events up to 120 guests.
Why These Sizes Work
Here's a secret: even at larger events, not everyone dances simultaneously. Guests naturally rotate on and off the floor. A moderately-sized dance floor actually creates better energy and atmosphere than an oversized one. There's something about a buzzing dance floor that draws people in—empty space doesn't have the same magnetic effect!
Outdoor Events
Hosting your celebration on grass? We've got you covered. We provide a subfloor system at no extra charge to ensure a stable, level foundation. Unlike many competitors who add this as an upcharge, we include it as standard because we believe it's essential for a great experience.
